Please imagine, Simon has got already again an insufficient mark for his mathematic - paper. That will be the third insufficient mark in follow.

Ah, that´s terrific, he cannot be promoted with an insufficient mark in mathematics.

Mark
But Simon is locking upon the matters in a very relaxed way. He says, he would be Jewish and therefore the mathematics - teacher would not dare to write an insufficient mark at his school record.

Anna
Oh, that´s really nonsense! The one point has nothing in common with the other. The teacher has to censure all pupis in the same way, I think.

Mark
Simon says that we German murdered millions of Jewish people. Therefore we are not allowed to criticize and censure Jewish people in a bad way.

Anna
We ´ve killed Jewish people? I ´ve never killed anybody! You didn´t, daddy didn´t...

Mark
I think Simon thought about the Nazis.

Anna
Oh, I see. I ´ve heard about the matters happened. Of course it was a terrific rotten act what the Nazis had done.

Mark
But a lot of decades have been passing in the meantime. Times have changed.

Anna
Do you think so? Nevertheless I ´m interested in getting to know why the Nazis hated Jewish people in such a strong way.

Mark
I think because of religious reasons. Jewish and Christian people didn´t liked each other.

Anna
Sure, daddy reported about it. The Christian churches persecuted and murdered Jewish people for 2000 years. The Jews were burnt at the stakes.

Mark
Jewish people respect themselves to be the people intended by God. And so other peoples became jealous.

Anna
But there isn´t any God!

Mark
That´s why we have not got any problems with atheistic liberal Jews. Papa knows some of them from the freethinger - organization.

Anna
...but what´s about the religious ones?

Mark
Now, I think that there are different inclinations like in Christianity and Islam. But Jewish people refused in any case to be christened by the Christian churches.

Anna
But why did the Christian churches wanted to convert the Jews at all?

Mark
I think it deals with the power and political influence of the churches. The Christian churches want to direct and control everybody and everything, therefore each men at the earth should become a Christian as far a possible.

Anna
...but the Nazis were not Christians at all, I think.

Mark
Daddy said the Nazis refer to the Christian tradition. Nazis and churches colaborated.

Anna
But the Nazis were no real Christians at all.

Mark
You cannot generalize this point. The Nazis were more ore less Christian, but they were no atheists in anyway. In any case the Nazis wanted to re - introduce the old Germanic religions in the new German Reich.

Anna
Oh, I think I ´ve heard about it. The Romans got their own Gods, the Greeks and the Teutons did so.

...until this religions werde destructed by Christianity.

Anna
But Christianity could not destruct the Jewdom.

Sure, and that´s why a lot of Christians are still being angry till today.

Anna
Do you really the think so? The pope visited a synagogue. The church says that antisemitism will be unchristian.

Mark
That is only propaganda. The pope even denies the evangelic church to be a true church at all. There are a lot of antisemitic persons in the church, even bishops are among them.

Anna
But, now I cannot understand why our state has forbidden Nazi organzations but not the church.

Mark
That isn´t logical, daddy said.

Anna
...perhaps the church has become better for the last time?

Mark
Daddy doesn´t think so. The church only accomodates itself to the actual circumstances always.

Anna
But why is our state afraid of the Nazis at all? We ´ve got a democratic system today, that should be thousand times better than the former Nazi dictatorchip!

Mark
You are right principially, but there are a lot of unsolved problems in our country. Think about our high unemployment rates. A lot of men are unsatisfied.

Anna
The Nazis and also the communist promised a patent remedy to solve all problems.

Mark
That´s right. More and more people think so because they don´t want to trust the old politicians any longer.

Anna
Hmm... But could matters happen once more the Nazis have done to Jewish people?

Mark
I am not a clairvoyant. But Israel has been being in state of war for 60 years continuously and Israel has got nuclear weapons.

Anna
That will be dangerous, because the other countries in the Near East want to get nuclear weapons too... But what can we do to bring forward peace in order to make everybody to live in satisfaction?

Mark
Everybody can make only a bagatelle at all, both Jewish and non - Jewish people. Daddy thinks we will overcome antisemitism finally, when the religions will have been disappeared.

Anna
But that might take still a long time. But what can we do at the moment?

Mark
For example my dear fellow pupil Simon should keep his nose to the grindstone and learn mathematics finally. Than he could reach sufficient marks at least, he will be intelligent enough to do so.

Anna
Great! Than he needn´t to blackmail the mathematics - teacher any longer!
